Is there a way to stop a rag rug from fraying and moulting once made?

Hi, I've made up a rug from old clothes for my son but it frays a LOT. It's on his floor but when he walks over it or when it moves it just seems to moult. Is there any spray or anything I could put on it to prevent this. It's worse than the cats at shedding!! Thanks.

You could try giving it a spray with This I googled "Fray Spray" because I just KNEW someone would have invented it! and they have.
