Knitting abbreviation help

Pass slipped stich over.

You usually slip one (on to the right hand needle without knitting it), knit the next one as usual, then pass the one you slipped over the one you knitted

Pass slipped stitch over.

Assuming you are right handed....

Slip a stitch from your left hand needle onto your right hand needle without knitting it. Knit the next stitch and then pass the slipped stitch over the stitch you have just made.

This is used for decreasing or for lace work where it is often used in conjunction with other instruction such as yfwd (yarn forward) where a hole is created or k2tog (knit 2 together).

I'll try and explain:
you will have slipped a stitch from one needle to the other without knitting it already
PSSO is to hook the stitch over the end of the needle it's on.

Maybe You-tube could help you to see how its done. I'm not very expereienced knitter!

It really is dead easy ... Once you've done it you'll wonder why you got flustered. As with all little knitting tricks, I think YouTube is your friend! Google it and look for a nice clear minute long clip.
