'Cos I haven't bought anything for oh at least 4 weeks and I got some good bargains.

Yesterday in lakeland, I got the burnishing tools (want to try and make pretty daisies with these), word stamps such as birthday etc and some alphabet brads which I have coveted for some while.

Today, in a local craft shop, I got the docrafts scrapbook mag, some tiny curly hair (bargain at £1.70 for a big packet) which will be great for sizzix heads, and some small pewter clips.

Then I went to the Works and got 12 balls of funky fibres, all different colours for £10.

Tomorrow I craft (after organising it all, of course!)

Oh, I saw those fibres in the Works, and they looked so pretty, but I didn't have a clue what to do with them, so reluctantly put them back.

Whizzz · 30/04/2006 15:59

Pootle - I blame you entirely for the fact that I have just come back from Lakeland with 100 assorted brads Grin

but that's all !

fibres sound brll value. I got some of the 99p wilko ones (cant remember who posted about them)

I love the alpha brads, i have the pastel ones and have only used four cos they're just sooo niceBlush

awww bettythebuilder, is the shop far from you? could you get some? fibres can be used in loads of projects, you can put on tags, wrap around bits, hang charms, put beads on..... I didn't like it at first but deff grown on me.

lol whizzz!!

bettythebuilder · 01/05/2006 15:34

Right, you've persuaded me - I'm off into town to get some tomorrow. They were so lovely and fluffy and glittery. I'm fairly sure my quality of life would be improved by owning some.Smile

pootlepod · 01/05/2006 18:35

BTB, they are nice and such a bargain too. My life has definately been better since I got them Grin.

I'm going to the Braintree Factory Outlet tomorrow, as they have a Paper Mill now...

kickassangel · 01/05/2006 19:53

Dior, tell us more - where etc.

champs · 01/05/2006 21:21

Whizzz · 02/05/2006 17:54

Isn't it funny that some things are jusy so nice, you don't like to use them Grin

Dior - I loved the stripy paper you sent for the last challenge, I winced when I cut it Grin

champs · 02/05/2006 18:40

I know!! Grin I have soooo many "special" items. I keep saying, i'll use them for mini books that I can keep so at least they'll be used but i get to see them too IYKWIM

Kickass - It's in Braintree, Essex. Actually, the paper mill was a bit of a disappointment. Nice tubs of card, and I did get a all you can stuff in for £3.99 box of A5 card, including loads of thick watercolour paper-type card. All the rest of the stuff is not any cheaper than usual craft shops, and most of it was Anita's stuff, which I can get in the range.

Whizz - Yes, I loved that stripy paper. It's from a pack by Rob and Bob. I followed a link from someone on here, and got the 10% discount (can't remember the shop though). I ordered 4 different packs Blush, but, in my defence, it was all fab!

kiwibella · 02/05/2006 21:02

fabulous = necessary, Dior :)

Dior · 02/05/2006 21:03
