I have been attending a group for the last 4 years and am now leaving. The project workers have really helped me through some really horrible parts of my life so I would like to make them all a little gift to say thank you and good bye.

There are 8 workers and I have 8 weeks to make things. I would like things I can sew.

I did think about bags, but I know another lady who goes there is making them those.

How about getting some plain cheap fabric and making something like this? you could print or appliqué their initial or an owl.....or something you know they like?

Oh, somehow 'not bags' became 'bags' in my head......NOT bags.

How about doorstops?

How about scarfs? It can manifest the connotation of warmth as well as love for everlasting friendship! :)

Lavender bags? Or fill them with dried rose petals or pot pourri. You could embroider each person's name to personalise it.

Glasses cases? If they don't wear glasses, make them a bit wider for sunglasses

I have made both of these as presents for teachers at dd's school, they all were well received.
