Photo on profile. It's 50 cm x 50 cm in real life and I'm hoping it's going to look nice enough framed to hang on the wall.

Thank you tunnocks (what a great name)

I like to day dream that I will be able to make fabulous things out of debris treasures I find on the beach and sell them for outrageous sums to gullible discerning tourists.

Oh no to no norovirus!

Hope everyone gets better soon.

I don't suppose, given that you hang out on the arts and crafts board, you know how I can put it on Pinterest? I've created a board but can't see how to pin the picture on it.

Wet soggy day here, planning to mooch about with sea glass for most of it...

Ignore that re Pinterest - I can do it from the laptop, just not the IPad...

There is a way to pin from an iPad but I can't remember how [helpful]

Nice picture though :)

KelleStarOfWonder · 16/12/2012 19:12

That is a lovely picture, very pretty pieces you've found! I love finding things on the beach, but don't get anything like pottery and glass [must make more of an effort to look down rather than gazing romantically out to sea].

Well done!

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 19/12/2012 10:32

Thank you Soup Dragon and Kelle I've got it on Pinterest now where it is being ignored... (I am v. new to Pinterest).

I have boxes of the stuff - need to remember to look up at the view every now and again, rather than down all the time :)

Pinterest is a bit hit and miss I think. I seem to have acquired several followers of my crochet board. I only use it to keep track of things I want to try!

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 16/03/2013 12:38

I've added two new pictures - seagulls made from driftwood, sea pottery and sea glass. Anyone care to tell me what they think :)

It won't let me see your profile. Sad

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 16/03/2013 12:57

Sorry - I've made it as public as I can I think! Wil try again...

I love those - very clever, - I think they would sell very well - look around for local exhibitions, or get yourself a craft stall at a fair. They are unusual and completely charming, - give it a go, - and come back and give me a cut when you are uber-successful Grin

can you put the first one you did back on your profile? - I missed it back in December.

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 16/03/2013 14:03

Thanks Kurri, you are very kind Blush . I don't know how much I could charge for them, if they are viewed as inexpensive novelties I'd rather give them away as presents.

The other picture should be there - sea pottery pieces in a grid.

I can see them now. They are wonderful!

KurriKurri · 16/03/2013 17:37

thanks unexpected - that one is lovely too Smile

Whatever you do charge for them, if you decide to sell, don't undersell yourself -people expect and are happy to pay a decent price for artwork.

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 16/03/2013 18:21

Hmmm, I don't know if I would call the seagulls art, they are (in my mind) definitely in the category of craft.

Is there anyone who could give me advice on how much they would go for? I have a proper artist friend who might help but I would feel embarrassed at being seen to put my stuff in the same arena as hers. As I said she is a proper artist with a studio and everything...
