What can I make out of an old tote bag?

I have this tote/book bag in a lovely fabric but I rarely use it. I'd love to make something more useful out of it so that I can see it more often! And I am an absolute amateur i.e. I have a sewing machine that I don't know how to use so always end up sewing by hand

Any ideas or suggestions of websites I could browse? Thank you!

Could you convert it into a cushion? I know the Kath Kidston book Patch (or is it sew) has a pattern for a bag or cushion. Just whipstitch across the top with the pad in.
