Cranberry heart decoration

Bought too many cranberries and wondered if/how I could possibly dry them to thread them onto florists wire to make a heart? Anyone know?

the Prima Christmas makes magazine which is out at the mo has a cranberry heart to make in it and they haven't dried out the cranberries beforehand-they just say that they stay firm for a week then gradually dry out to a deeper colour! Looks lovely!...can't do a link though!

Thanks. They seem to be starting to go "off" so don't know whether to risk leaving them and seeing....don't want a mouldy decoration!!
