Etsy?

I half heartedly set up a Esty shop a few weeks ago.

I have my FB page which is going really well, but I would like to broaden my sales if I can. I also want to use Etsy for any overseas customers (i.e. send them over there if they wish to purchase rather than ask me loads of stupid questions about things and never order ) .

Now how do I start getting 'seen' ?

I have a linky to the shop on FB , shop is looking really crap at the mo - 8 items , not great photos, any other advice?

I will be really putting some effort into it after xmas (too bust at the mo) , and would like to know if anyone has any tips. :)

Have spent abit of time getting the photos and bits up together tonight so it matches FB abit more iyswim.

Still not sure on my 'shop banner' though, that will be changed when I can come up with something better!

Hi, I sell a lot on my two etsy shops.

Someone once told me my photos were too 'dark' and I think yours may be guilty of the same.

Download picasa and import your photos, brighten the background and sharpen the colours. You also need to load up more than one photo of each item.

On etsy's 'pick of the day' you will notice all the items are bright, close up and on a white background.

The more items you have in your shop the more items will come up on searches

and:

Get a circle going so people notice you and add you to their circle,
take some time to favourite some items,
join an etsy selling group or two for help and support,
make sure you use all 13 tags,
you need to pad out your discriptions,
fill in your 'about me/meet the seller' page,
load up international postage rates,
get a twitter account and link it to your etsy shop,
use and review your search ads and keywords,

hi santa i think your items look great but can i be honet i dont like the banner but at least you have got it up and running , unlike me. i set up a shop last year and never took it any further. i need to get my act together. i have noooooooo idea where to start. i have great ideas but cant seem to get it up and running, its a "lack of time" thing with me. lol.
