i made some santa sacks last year for my dd's and now want to make some more for other family members. i need to buy about 200-300g of small mixed buttons. i use them to decorate felt christmas trees ( they look like lights). but i cant believe how expensive they are for mixed bags compared to what i paid last year. ive tried ebay and ive seen one or two sellers that i could use but before i buy does anyone know of somewhere cheaper?
many thanks x

I got a massive box in hobbycraft a couple of years ago - can't remember how much they were but it wouldn't have been a huge amount as it was for school.

Not sure if it'd be cheaper but have A look on etsy.com ?

It's often called destash on there, never heard the word elsewhere but may help with your search!

I love Paper and String for buttons

If you have a craft bank locally they often have shops attached and I've bought cheap buttons from there for kids groups.

Or Baker Ross

They often have big bags of mixed buttons for a pound in our local charity shop.

Ebay.
Sometimes charity shops.
Hobbycraft have some bags of buttons in their Value range.

etsy or folksy

charity shops or ebay.

Yes my local charity shop is heaving with buttons, large mixed bags for a pound. Ask if there aren't any on display.
