Knitting gurus - I call upon your wisdom please!

I've been doing knitted stripes for my little hug square. I was doing 6 rows in each colour but due to a slight distraction whilst watching homeland I've gone and knitted a whole extra row. I didn't realise until I got to the end of that one.
I'm 3/4's into the square and I think I'd cry if I couldn't fix it and had to frog it, so can anyone help me out please

I did something similar with this crocheted blanket. The single stripe in the middle was unintentional! I fudged it by turning it so the horizontal stripes were vertical and the blanket slightly smaller than intended. I then carried on so it was symmetrical.

So you just need to pull it back one row. The easiest way to do this is to take it off the needle (it won't instantly fall apart) and then pull the yarn back, revealing the loops from the row below. Once you've done that, you can put the loops back on the needle and off you go again. You will probably find the loops haven't gone back on quite the right way but you can adjust them as you come to them so the stitch is angled the right way to knit into.

If you want to tink it (backwards knit) instead, so you're keeping all the stitches on the needles throughout, it's a wee bit more laborious but nothing too scary. Will just have a quick look on YouTube for the best vid.

Trib - thanks for those links. Off to have a look in a mo however on my way to drop the DDs off at grannie's for the night yay yay yay night on my own whoohoo I remembered there was a small sewing shop on the way so thought I'd pop in on the off chance someone could help me and there was! The shopkeeper wasn't a knitter but there was a lovely lady in there who overheard and tinked ( now I know that's what it's called ) it for me so phew!
Only prob is that she did it so fast I didn't have time to grasp what she did so I'll look at those links Trib and save them for future reference.
