What do I need? 
I'm planning to hand-embroider and hand/machine applique animals to DS's shirts and stuff. Not likely to be doing samplers or cushions, but I would like to build a 'get started' box.
So:
Hoop
thread
needles
erm, some felt to make the cute animals
A decent pair of scissors
.... what else?
