I can do straight lines. Increasing and decreasing. I can do simple hats. That is the extent of my knitting prowess.

But i'd like to do some flowers for my hat.

Ideas?

I'm going to bet that you could and that ravelry will be your friend for the specifics. Good luck Smile

Cast on 40 stitches
Knit 1, cast off 6
Repeat to end.
Break off yarn and pull through remaining stitches.
Makes an 'open' flower iykwim.
You could make it larger by increasing the number of stitches and then casting off more each time.
Hope that helps.

Great. Thanks. Will try the open sort as a start.
