Knitting patterns?

I need to send my mum a pattern for a cardigan/jumper for DS which she has very kindly offered to knit.

Are there particular sites which you can just print them off from? I had a look and some seem to be free vs paid - are the free ones still as good?

Any tips welcome!

Ravelry.com. You need to register, but it is free and very quick and easy.

Free patterns are just as good as paid for ones, it's just that sometimes you like a paid for one better than aything else. Usually doesn't cost very much.
