Spent the last couple of days getting a grannie square right, I am so pleased Grin

I'd like to do a small blanket for my neighbours baby (due in about 4 weeks, so not much time).

Just big enough to use in the pram or over the lap when baby goes into a buggy.

We know baby is going to be girl, so I was thinking of using white, pale pink and lilac in different orders.

Thing is, I'd like to do the squares in rounds of 4, which would mean I'd use the same coulour twice or do you think pale blue or pale green would tie in with the other colours?

I think a.pale yellow would look nice

What about using a variegated or fair isle effect wool that incorporates all your other colours such as Sirdar Baby Crofter

Well I went to Hobbycraft and the selection of wool was quite poor to be honest.

No pale blues or lilacs Angry.

So I ended up with pale pink, cream, and oatmeal and also got This is lovely and very similar to what woollybackswife suggested Smile

(It's the 2nd one in on the top line)

I didnt think of yellow/lemon colditz so will keep that in mind, thanks! (assuming there will be another blanket Grin )

Have done 2 squares tonight and it's looking ok, cant quite make up my mind if I like all the colours together yet but I think my neighbour will like it
