Crochet help, please

I must admit I'm a self taught crocheter, and usually begin rounds by chaining.

I've heard about something called a magic ring, which is meant to be an easier start for rounds, that can be tightened to secure the stitching when finished.

If this exists, can anyone point me in the direction of, well, directions to do this, please?

I want to improve my squares for the Little hugs, cos I'm relatively basic in the crochet I do, although doing more now.

Thanks

Hi if you go to www.freecrochet.com, it's got lots of instructions and patterns. Hope this helps :)

Ahh the magic ring !! It's very neat, look for a video on YouTube that's easy to follow
