How can I make things for DD's room when I am pretty crap at sewing?

Hi,

I'm looking for ways to make bunting, cushions and other bits and bobs for her bedroom which don't involve a sewing machine, and in which my useless stitching won't show up too much :)

Her room is being decorated soon, I need a hobby and I think it will be a nice touch for her. and hopefully be cheaper than some of the expensive tat I've seen

Any ideas would be appreciated.

TIA

Grin

Bunting ~ you could use pinking shears so you don't have to hem, or you could use felt so you won't have unravelling cotton, then you could use fabric glue to stick them on to some binding.

I may just give that a go. Sounds easy enough for even me to do Grin

I made crochet bunting recently! Super easy and the first thing I've ever crocheted. I'm very pleased with it. Cost was under a fiver after getting cheap wool off the market and borrowing a crochet book from the library.
