Easter Challenge

Well, are any of you up for it? I don't normally send Easter Cards but it seems that we are all in the doldrums at the moment and need something to cheer us up

I would love to organise it.

Is use of a Sizzix allowed ?

honestly YG i cant.... i have absolutely NO FAITH whatsoever right now, and cant even bring myself to look at the cards i have already done. Im supposed to be checking over the prices for the car boot on sunday, but the frame of mind i am in, i will mark them all at £1 just to get rid!

jarm your cards are great, don't be so silly! We all get that from time to time.

Go on canny crafts gallery and post a few on there, that's what I do when i want anonymous feedback (and an ego boost! )

well ive gone through the cards - shite ones at £1, ok-ish ones at £1.50 and the semi-decent ones at £2.... fingers crossed someone might buy just one card on sunday!

J&RM - don't expect too much at a car-boot sale...people want a bargain. I didn't sell any cards at my last car boot, and mine were £1.75. Good luck though. I would come along and have a peek, but I think Im going to take my mother's day cards to my M&T group. They usually go well there.

in some ways dior - i hope it pisses it down! It would make my day!!! Got a SHED load of baby stuff to sell though, so hoping the cards along side might tempt people!

JARM you havta take part, your cards are lovely. It's not a competition more of a design course. In other words getting the stash from someone else, perhaps something you never would have thought of buying and seeing crafting through someone elses eyes!!! (V.deep for me having just got in)

Oh and just a thought, anyone who may think I have their address, I haven't. I am dreadful for not keeping any emails, I delete the lot everyday and then clean out my recycle bin entirely. So if you are not listed underneath it's cos' I aint got it.

I am very very upset. Last night I got an idea for my card for the challenge and today I bought that mag, you know 'papercraft' and it has literally the same card that I was going to make in it. Which goes to show that subconsciously I have seen this card before or that there are only so many things you can do with a card and someone is bound to have got there first. I was most disgruntled but am still making it anyway.

Right the 19th is nearly with us. AQ,Champs,Jarm, KKgirl, Misdee and kissangel, I need your post addys to give to your challenge chum.

We are going to make childrens cards/boy or girl and you can use what you want but you have to send your challenge chum exactly what you have used.

If you used a Sizzix then send the die cut, if you used a stamp send a stamped image etc.

You have to use at least 5 of the items sent by your challenge chum. If they send less you havta use em. If they send more then it's up to you. These cards are going to be soooooooooo good!!!

if it can be a baby card then im in - if its a kids birthday im out!

What are the rules about Sizzix lettering ?
I've done a word on mine & if I post the letters, it may well give the theme away !

i'm out too, got lots of swaps and cj's that are around the same deadline.

The problem is Jarm, that the B&P's you recieve, may not be suitable for a baby card. They are usually of the blue & pink variety. So I guess you will have to sit this one out. Its such a shame cos' you are very very good.

Whizzz. You have to send the lettering really as your challenge buddy would be at a disadvantage if they don't have a sizzix.

Right I am assuming that no one else wants to join and will begin pairing up challenge chums.

JARM couldn't you do a small childs birthday card (eg first)- that'd fit and be similar imagery. You'd geta chance to play with something different from your received set then, give you abit of practice without having to buy anything or whatever.

I've included (sticker) lettering in mine- but the kit is pretty obvious themed though!
