I'm 6m pg and love crocheting. I'd like to make Pidjchick some toys, how safe are they?

Safe enough to sell would be nice

I make lots for the DC and make sure they are firmly sewn together and I only use plastic eyes for the older DC. I know they are safety eyes but I wouldn't want to risk it.

I have no idea what to do about selling toys as wouldn't you have to meet safety standards with toys?

I'm making a snake from leftover rainbow colours, which is what made me think of it; wasn't planning on bothering with features :o I tend to embroider stuff like that anyway.

I assume there are tests for toys for sale, not sure it's worth investigating now but i might do later when I've had a chance to find out what works :)

Embroider eyes, not plastic ones. I think people sell them buying stating 'not suitable for under threes - decorative item only'

I haven't actually made any but have thought about it! Got some good knitting patterns for some with bits of material inside the ears etc with nice prints (got stuffing, some fat quarters, the yarn, just not got round to it yet)

Hmm, could do that. But it would kinda be lying Confused
