Okay, We now have a digital SLR- what else do we need?

We have just bought a Canon 550D SLR Camera. We've got the lens it came with, a 70-300 lens and a nifty fifty lens. We have a spare battery, a protective case, a lens hood and a lens filter protector. Is there anything else we need before we head off into the wilderness for 3 weeks? What about a tripod- do we need one and if so, can anyone recommend a good travel one?

There's a small "grippa" tripod that you can attach onto sticks or balance on rocks. Not used it, but heard good things about it. Or, there's a "pod" one (at least, I think that's it's name) which is a small sandbag thing that will keep the camera still and angled if you rest it on a fence post or rock. Jessops stock them. Some may still be dribbly from when I was fondling them...
