Where to get a design made?

I've designed a dress and have decided I would like to get it made. Can someone help me take the first steps on this?

Are you looking to make it yourself, or find a seamstress to make it for you??

Well I'm looking for someone to make it but couldn't think of the proffesional name for the job

If you pop into your local haberdashers, they may be able to give you a number of someone local to your area who can do the job.
