Ok, I may have been a bit ambitious as have only been crocheting a couple of months and have mainly stuck to blankets and cushions etc!

In the special Simply Crochet magazine there is a pattern for a little cherub cardigan - I have done the back and the right side no problem (and so much quicker than knitting!) but I am stuck on the pattern instructions for the left side. They are:

Chain 32 - done
Foundation row : 1 tr into 8th chain from hook, 2 ch, miss 2 ch, 1 tr into next ch, repeat from to end, turn - done
Next row : 5 ch, 1 dc into tr on which 5 ch stands, 2 ch, 1 dc into next tr, repeat from to end, 2 ch, 1 dc into 3rd ch, turn - done

Now this is where I start to get stuck!

Proceed as follows:
Row 1: 15 ch (5 ch counts as 1 tr, 2 ch) 1 tr into next dc, 2 ch, 1 tr into next dc, rep from to end, 2 ch, 1 tr, 2 ch, 1 dtr into 3rd of 5 chain, turn

So, I am fairly certain that the 15 ch on that line is an error and should read 5 so will do that. However when it says to '**' to end of row but then gives further instructions! So should I do the 2 ch, 1 tr, 2 ch in the same dc as the previous tr? Then do the dtr in the 3rd of the 5 ch? Basically I have no idea what that last tr is supposed to go!

If anyone can either understand a word I've written or help - I would be very grateful as its really frustrating me now!

Sorry, been away and only just seen this!

I would assume that, as you're working a Front, you need to shape for armholes. Therefore you need to rep from * to * to the end of the row, then work the next bit into the same loopy bit. That might be why you need a ch15 at the beginning...

Or, you might have figured it out for yourself by now, in which case ignore me :)
