am making dd's teachers little present, it involes a plantpot, chalkbord paint and writing with a chalk... Some mumsnetters may know the item I am shamelessly copying Grin

Anyway, if I chalk a messae on to the plant pot, how do i make sure it stays there? I don't think normal wall paint over the chalkboard stuf will work, and chalk will look better, so how to make sure it won't budge or get rubbed?

Could I use clear nail varnish? Other varnish? Some more sesible and better idea?

Mnay thanks for any help!

Would hairspray set it in without it smudging and then clear varnish on top?

You can get chalk board pens which only come off when rubbed with a wet cloth. I bought one in WHSmith.

I've also painted on top of blackboard paint.

Thanks, treated the plantpots to a white chalkboard pen from whsmiths. My plantpots are now fully painted and messaged up for the teachers. Wish everyone was as impressed with them as I am!!
