Want to buy beads so 3 year olds can thread them onto string or some such for birthday party. Does anyone know of anywhere in London? Or online that could arrive by next weekend?? Thanks

Hobbycraft do a good selection of beads. Or try the Baker Ross catalogue (they've got a website and can delivery quickly, I think). Failing that, trawl through your local charity shops. You can usually pick up old necklaces cheaply which you can take apart to use the beads.

I sell plastic pony beads in a variety of colours and shapes i.e. hearts, animals, mixed. If I can help, PM me and I will post Monday.

The Brighton Bead Shop HERE sell big bags of large mixed beads cheaply, they are ideai for what you are needing them for - my DD has always loved beads & started off with these bags for threading - they also do reels of elasticated cord, which is great for DC necklaces & braceletsWink

This is it

This link is the sort of think we bought, thought the shop has ready made up bags, we used to spend £5-6 & come away with a decent sized bag

Thanks all, that has been really helpful. I didn't even know what pony beads were! On investigation I found a Hobbycraft not too far away from me and went there today and found what I needed.
