Well I was making circular flounces on Wed (or Thursday) & they went wrong; so she can't wear that dress

decided on a different one & now we both want a nw skirt

The pattern is nearly cut.....how long will it take me?

On your marks, get set,.......go

Good luck Katy - I obviously can't answer your question as I don't know what you're doing Grin - sorry the flounces didn't work out for you :(

They will they just need more time

Skirt cut - double circle skirt 14 inches long

Underskirt pinned - double possibly triple slightly shiny quite net like but finer

I think a single full underskirt, then a double circle underskirt then the double skirt attached to wide elastic?

Silver with grey glisteny underneath?

Hmm no

Double circle skirt cut
Double circle underskirt cut

Pinned together & the undeskirt hemmed with fishing line

Now elastic for the waistband & some sort of finish at the waist....not sure what, yet

Who is playing the part of the incompetent mother? It can't possibly be you!!

KatyMac · 30/06/2012 23:27

Nope it is - if I could have made just a bit more time I'd have managed the circular flounces, or if I'd started days ago (but OFSTED came & pulled me to pieces so I had to change, rectify and improve work stuff) or maybe if I hadn't had a jolly down in London on Thursday or not eaten out this evening

But as it is, the skirt is finished & I am quite pleased with it

KatyMac · 02/07/2012 21:25

I thank you, DD thanks you

I curtsey, DD curtseys

but she gets back up a bit more gracefully than me

Ah but does do the < getting- back- up groan >as well as you do ? She has a lot to learn yet but she is young and has time !!

KatyMac · 02/07/2012 21:37

I don't do that; on the basis that I don't do the getting back up, I crawl to a nearby chair and use that as a support to clamber up to sit for a minute and pant unattractively Wink
