need a fancy dress idea for a 'red white and blue' theme!

Was going to paint a pillow case like the union jack but havent got fabric paints. so will poster paint do or has anyone got any other ides please! for dd age 7 (nealry 8) thanks

poster paint would do for a one off I would think.

or - do you have an Ikea nearby? They are selling 2 Union flag tea-towels for a couple of quid - you could stitch pin them together to form a tabard - or stitch/pin to pillowcase if needed to be a bit bigger?
