Bearing in mind that I have two small children, two dogs and a cat, all of whom sit on the chairs.

Just the seat or those big skirt ones that cover the whole chair?

I was wondering about oilcloth for our bench TBH

Something washable or wipable I'd think.

I think I've just decided to get them reupholstered in real leather. A chair at a time since it's forty fecking quid a chair Shock

PVC leathercloth.

my mum did that years ago - got a bit of padding, then stuck the cloth to the chairs with upholstery pins.

they're great fort kids - not only do they wipe clean, but they blow out wind when you sit down Grin

hours of fun for a child
