Textured finger paints?

I have just spent a happy half hour or so with the LOs finger painting.

They made lovely textured splodgy pictures but, unfortunately, the Tesco finger paint we used loses all it's texture when it dries.

Does anyone have any suggestions of how to make the paint textured? I vaguely remember adding cornflour might help but I'm really not sure.

wallpaper paste is great in runny paint!

also add porridge oats or semolina

PVA Glue.

Cutard powder.

Bicarbonate of Soda and vinegar (makes it fizz).
