How to alter a hoody when the head is too small???

Ds has a v nice hoody that fits everywhere except the head hole. It is too small for his head!

Any ideas on how I can alter it?

This is it here and I don't have the receipt and it has been worn a bit. So I do t think I can return it.

Have you tried stretching it round the neck when wet?

Yep. And ds stretches it as much as possible to get it over his head every time. It. Needs a v in the neck or something I think...

My MIL has just altered one of my hubby's hoodies by making it into a full zip up one. She is very handy with a needle, which I most definately am not.
