I want to make some freiends/colleagues who are expecting a set of cot bedding each and would like some fabric inspiration please, one boy, one vintage style girl set, one bright and cheerful unisex and a slightly hippy/asian inspired girl one. I dont want to spend loads so budget fabric good if possible, but will spend more if its really lovely! I dont want to do patchwork as a little too time consuming if im making 4 sets, not gingham or anything too plain. Thankyou, all ideas appreciated.

Is there an Ikea near you? They have some nice Cath Kidston rip-offvintagey-floral fabrics in mismatching pinks and blues - I just made a lovely patchwork cot quilt for a baby girl. These are £5 per metre and good quality cotton, and you can cut your own fabric, so can buy 1/4 metre of each (they weigh it and print the cost!). Reallt pretty.

There are lots of great ebay shops, but if you are keeping costs down then

in addition to theamum's post, IKEA also do 3 metre packs of fabric in the kids section for £5pack.

Otherwise check out the 100% duvet covets in IKEA and TK MAX, you will get a massive amount of fabric for you money.
