I have a 3m by 3m stall - how would you set it up?

Hello, calling all crafty peeps who do fairs! For the first time ever I have a stall which is 3m by 3m. I am not sure how to set it up, as I read that the customer doesn't want to come 'in' to your stall...should I put a table at the front and treat it as a 3m frontage, or should I make it like a wee 3m squ 'room'....any thoughts very much appreciated!

What are you selling...might make a difference.

Normally i would say larger items at the back, smaller at the front, a couple of box shapes to vary the height and add interest, but are all your canvases the same size, been looking at your profile...very nice by the way.

As a customer, I prefer to be able to view from afar - walking into a stall makes me feel more committed and feel as if it would be more embarrassing to walk away if I don't like stuff.

Thanks Parsley! I think you're right, have bigger and higher at the back and smaller at the front...(I have cards and magnets too)

Soup - yes, I don't want to put people off browsing....

Thanks

I'd also give your stall some height, this will help it be seen from afar - I find a gazebo with chain fastened all around the edge works to hang things up - bulldog clips for bigger heavy items & pegs will do for lighter stuff :)

PS - if you can't use a Gazebo - firmly fasten poles to each table leg with several cable ties & string the chain along the top of these

I wrote a blog last year about setting up for a craft fair - I even remembered to write about setting up! Hope this helps :)

Thanks all; I was wondering about poles, as I do have tea towels and they are huge to display....Great blog latte lady - esp the list, infact am off to get my scissors and string and cover out....

Thanks x
