Just finished this blog about painting without paintbrushes! Can you think of any other things we could paint with besides the ones we have used. I am welcome to some inspiration :)

Technically it uses a brush, but have you tried flinging paint at the paper? Like Jackson Pollock

NB: do this outside and not in your kitchen

AH I am early childhood trained and art and crafts was an area I loved. We have used
Cotton buds
balloons inflated slightly and with a little water in
small cars
feathers
combs
(I know it is a brush but it is a great one for little hands)shaving brush

Soupdragon, we do that one at nursery (though with slightly bigger power balls rather than marbles) and it is very popular.
Also do cotton buds and plastic cars.

I expect lots of small boys would love to have a go at painting in the Pricasso style, but you may be less keen to encourage it...

Hahahahaha... Not one for nursery or school I feel. :o

Another thing I've done is use plastic animals so you get footprints.

Bella2010star · 05/05/2012 14:03

I was no prepared for that one! Going to try out the plastic animals for def there are loads of great ideas thank you.
