I am a novice in a sewing machine, I can make little pouches for Kindles/iPads etc and even had a successful business in it, I'm about to attempt a simple baby blanket. Can anyone give me anymore suggestions for idiot proof projects please, I'd really like to expand my repertoire. :)

What sort of projects would you like to have a go at?

Sorry I should have said! Blush

I'm looking at things I can sew as gifts or for the new baby or for my DS's to enjoy.
Anything really I have so much beautiful cotton fabrics that I would love to make use of. Smile

If you've made Kindle pouches etc, I'd hardly classify you as a novice!! I've got a few tutorials on my blog ~ MadeByYoursTruly, and these ones below are good for boys (depending on their age I suppose, or babies.
Take a look at the following tutorials; a teepee ,hobby horse adapted from another website's tutorial with a linky to the original too, a pair of trousers for little people, or how about a pirate flag ?
There's also tutorials for how to make crayon rolls or car rolls and a taggie blanket.

Hope that helps! :)

I'll have a look through them all, thank you :)

Hobbycraft is always a good starting place.

The sewmamasew blog has lots of great tutorials.

If you go through the catagories box on the left hand side - tutorials & projects or handmade holidays are good places to start browsing
