Hi - I was wondering if anyone knew of a good baby blanket pattern.
I would like to do one with holes in it if possible (to make it more breathable) but I can't crochet so it will have to be knitting. Does anyone know of a good pattern (perhaps using yarn over and 2tog to get the holes to appear?)
tia

Hi mummyox - if you're not on Ravelry, the first thing I would do is head over there to register (it's free). I did a search on baby blankets recently - this is what is coming up for free knitting patterns in that category.

If you're not yet a member, I've linked to a few of the ones I like (although for some of them you will need to be a member to obtain the pattern).

Chalice blanket.

Leafy baby blanket (the site for more info is not currently working so this is a Ravelry link)

Radiating star circular blanket (Ravelry link)

Bring it on baby blanket - I don't think a blanket could have more holes in than this!

Waffle blanket (Ravelry link)

Breezy baby blanket - more 'holey' than the Bring it On!

tribpot thank you so much - these are exactly what I was after! I think I'll do the bring it on baby blanket - looks really warm and lovely. And I'll join ravelry when I'm ready for another project (got quite a few on the go but can't resist starting on the blanket for a cute december baby).
