Gift for a knitter

Hello, I want to buy a gift for a friend who is a knitter and looking for ideas. I've seen this but don't know if it would be useful or not, also not sure if the standard sizes she embroiders are useful for a UK knitter or not?

Or, any other ideas? :)

Those are lovely! Especially the second one.

You could ask for the needle sizes to be embroidered in millimetres which is the usual UK way. Or just put in a suitable fabric pen?

I love these sets:

They are basically a nylon circular needle with interchangeable steel tips in different sizes. It means you can carry round all your needles in one compact pouch and it looks very cool. This is a starter kit, but you can get complete sets too.

You are looking at metric sizes

2.75mm up to 8mm should suit most people plus a few blanks?

Almost anything from purlescence would make a good gift too.
