A craft idea to represent Switzerland

JennyWren · 30/04/2012 23:18

I am looking for a craft idea to fit with a theme of Switzerland. We need to be able to complete it in about 30 minutes. I am stumped! Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you!

decoupage of national flag

red and opaque glitter for national flag

use tissue paper, handprints etc...

Thanks! 10-14 years. I was wondering about a flag, but it is a bit similar to something else we've done recently. I can't think of anything else though...

collect chocolate wrappers and do a collage

Or think about dark blue lakes, green hills, purple mountains, white snow, blue sky and use different texturesmedia to represent these?

cheese........a model

How about lots of those ideas that fold into a big 'Swiss army knife'

I'm not great at craft ideas (i.e. I am lazy) so I would just stick an arrow in an apple

ZZZenAgain · 02/05/2012 18:58

or possibly just a dart

if you are less lazy than me, make a mountain (half a paper plate or play dough, whatever you have), paint snow on the top, grass on the bottom and attach a lego or playmobil figure as a mountain climber. He can be holding a miniature Swiss flag on a toothpick.

U can buy cheap little battery operated clock hands. Pop them through a cardboard cuckoo clock face! Perhaps with a spring coming out above the clock face with little polystyrene ball cuckoo!! Love it; I want to join in.

a cuckoo clock is a good one. I like that. If you don't have time to buy anything, you could just make one with cardboard and I don't know how to do the cuckoo but if you are very clever, you might be able to make something that resembles a bird and stick it on top.

Is this any good? guidingjewels.ca/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=396:craft-scherenschnitte-switzerland-craft&catid=63&Itemid=92

If you google scherenschnitte patterns you get loads of ideas.
