Machine sewers - what's your current project ?

I'm making a sewing machine cover based on this design. I'm adding a bias-bound hole for the handle so I can carry it and I'm also wadding it to give the machine protection. I have some gorgeous deep purple fabric to make it and I'm going to try making my own piping with my new piping foot. I've ordered a patchwork kit for my RS2000 and I'm machine piecing the patchwork block and machine sewing the buttons.

Finishing off a couple of tops & dresses I did get done in time for our recent holiday - a long strappy side split maxi, with built in bra, in a lovely muted abstract Africa type viscose jersey print & a couple of border cut out embroidery woven cotton, 3/4 sleeve raglan cut, sheared neck gypsy tops :)

Wow they sound fab projects.

I'm making a very basic skirt with an elasticated waist for DD [beginner emoticon]

I have made a bugaboo frog hood cover today for my friend in a fantastic space invaders fabric. It just needs bias adding to finish off as the stuff she brought wasn't wide enough.

I am scouting the internet for fabric tonight as fancy making a new bag, maybe something with skulls.

I've only just got my machine back as lent it out years ago when lost interest and I'm all fired up and raring to go now!

I'm making some London/Jubilee/Olympics themed bunting for a friend from recycled denim & Cath Kidston LONDON fabric, plus photos of Queen, Corgis etc.

I'm making a regency ballgown which I'm hoping to wear to some of our friends' wedding anniversary in a few weeks - they've hired a big Regency ballroom and have asked everyone to come in costume. Just hope I get it finished in time!

Wow!

I hope it will be!

I'm making this summer skirt for dd. Copied off Mnsnet somewhere I think.

I'm deep into the planning stages of making a hanging tent for DS's bedroom. Kind of like this shape and basic design but for a boy. I managed to get a bargain with some really thick canvas off ebay which arrived today and will be enough to make a coordinating bed canopy. I'm hoping my leather needle is going to cut it as it's proper (although untreated) outdoor canvas. It will have an orange 'roof' & windows and turquoise bunting round the top.

It's my first proper project in over a year and I'm looking forward to getting started Smile
