Just seen these

DS is 6 but has SN and very poor co ordination.

What age did your child manage to do them from?

Dd is six and she has good coordination but the concentration span of a gnat! She has had things like this but her interest ran out before finished. They are quite fiddly and prescriptive unless you encourage ds to do his own pattern. Not sure if that's helpful but it's our experience.

We have done some of the smaller sets and ds (7) loved them. He was buying one a week for a while. He started doing them aged 5, nearly 6. He does have SN but not of the motor skill variety.

Thank you for the link actually as we have run out of them and I couldn't find any we hadn't done anywhere.

The ones we did weren't the "My First..." variety and there were areas where the stickers had to be very close together and it was very tricky indeed. The ones you have linked to look much better.

My friend's son has a few problems with his fine motor skills and he has been doing them enthusiastically as one of many activities aimed at improving them.

Is that the sort of price they are or can you get them cheaper? The price is putting me off a bit - I only usually spend up to a fiver on art and crafty bits.

Dd2 is 6 with poor co-ordination and ASD and she loves them, we buy them to take on holiday and she has had them at christmas for the past 2 years. Argos do a good set (crayola) on the 2 for £15 range, it has quite a few boards and loads of sticky squares (also comes with colouring pens).

Asda did a much smaller one for about £1 or £2 which is what we were buying every week for a while. They weren't the "My First" variety and there were areas where the stickers were a bit crammed in and a bit tricky and frustrating.

The one you have linked to looks great - the prices on ebay and amazon are much higher so it is a good deal. That said, it is still a lot of money!
