MIL has just given me her old electric sewing machine, so I want to start with something easy...the last thing I made was lavender bags about 30 years ago with a hand driven singer! Could someone lease point me in the directionof a simeple pinafore dress pattern for a toddler? A-line style and very easy.... and also any ideas of where to pick up cheapish retro / patterned cotton fabric? Any help much appreciated. Smile

Hi

The pillowcases dress is easy. Basically get a nice pillowcase, cut a head hole out of the top(top bit thats sewn up) and cut arm holes out from the top to the sides, cut to lenght and hem it all up.

Hope that made sense, you can goggle pillowcase dress pattern and you should find it. My friend has made loads for little one. Cheap fabric - try charity shop, i use old sheets, curtains, i give them a good wash 1st but you can make alot of them.

Hope that help good luck
