How do I get people to notice/read my blog?

Just want to add i've name changed because I don't want to be linked to some old posts of a personal nature. But have been on mums net for about 5 years.

I've been blogging for about a month now and I have less than a handfull of followers. I get a fair few daily page views (but expect this is mostly my family stalking me! lol)

I was just wondering how you get people to find your blog/follow because I just don't want to be wittering to myself on a daily basis. Although it is nice having an online dairy of sorts and I am taking lots more pictures I ever did. Think I once went 6 months with-out taking one single picture of my boys!
My camera was broken at the time but still.

Any advice would be great! Also if anyone wants to point me in the direction of their blogs that would be great too!

I want to know more about you, you need more chat I think, How you choose your designs, what paints you use, how long it takes you, do you sketch your designs first. Step by step pictures of the progression of your work would be cool. Nice art shops you like, new brushes. etc.

the thing I like about blogs is being nosey and having a snapshot of someone elses life.

I wouldn't mind painting murals I love painting too the thing is i'm brilliant at copying just can't think up my own ideas. So if someone said draw a car it would look like a shoe. But if they said can you copy this picture of a car it would lok like a tracing.

There is no chance that you've been waffling on too much Some posts are just pictures.

What sort of blogs do you like?

I love this vintage blog I think she may be a mnetter but I don't know which one.

Hello, sorry for delayed response. My blog is littleowlski.wordpress.com I've not been as prolific on there as recently as I used to be. Real life work gets in the way! I also love reading blogs because I'm nosy to get ideas and inspiration for my house. It can be far too addictive though!

Interact with other blogs - leave comments etc
Look for other blogs who do blogger profiles - babybudgeting.co.uk/ is definitely one where she has profiles about mums. They're really quite interesting and it gives a link to their blog/FB/Twitter etc.
If you want to make a real go of it, you can always do SEO (search engine optimisation) or Google Ad Words so people find you more easily.
