How can I turn some skirt fabric into a picture??

I have a lovely skirt or rather the fabric is beautiful. Sadly, I am never going to fit back into it. Could I frame the fabric - I don't mean framing the skirt but just using the fabric. I have zero crafting/sewing skills so is there an easy way?

TIA.

Very easy....there are harder ways of doing it and easy ways...I usually just buy a cheap frame from somewhere like B&Q or wherever...and paint it ...I don't like those cheap pine look frames.

THen remove the back and there is a piece of cardbaord...if it's stiff use that, if not use the original as a template and make a new stiffer card...the cover it wihth your fabric, just stretch it over and secure at the back with masking tape.

Replace it in the frame....there is often a floppy paper "mount" included...this is like a frame within the frame...you can use it or not.

Or...you could buy a plain canvas...loads of them at cheap shops nowadays, and stretch the fabric over the whole thing....secure with a wall stapler at the back. More modern look.

Thank you - that sounds do-able.

Or, bung it into a wooden embroidery hoop and hang it on the wall like that?

Or you could cover a canvas or several smaller ones with it. Stapled at the back
