Homemade card for Dad - any ideas please?

I'm searching for an idea for a card that my DCs can make for their Dad's birthday. My DCs are 2,3 and 5. They all enjoy painting, sticking etc but I'd like to guide them towards something a bit more special/ recognisable than their usual abstract style! We can't include photos as our printer's broken and DH isn't into football or ties, (which feature heavily in the ideas I've found on google)! He likes cycling, kayaking, making bonfires and drinking beer! The card wouldn't have to feature his random hobbies though!

Each DC has a colour - Red, Orange and Yellow. They cover a sheet of paper with their chosen colour. When dry you cut flame shapes from each piece of paper. (DCs can then add glitter to the top of each flame shape if you are feeling brave) flashbacks to horrific glitter incidents of the past

Stick the flame shapes to the front of a card to make a bonfire picture. Draw on brown sticks at the bottom. Add birthday message.

Could the 5 year old draw a big kayak, all 3 colour it in and then stick 3 passport photos of their faces into stick bodies in the boat?

Thanks for these great ideas. I probably won't get passport photos this time as I nearly had a heart attack at the price of them a while back! I'll save the boat idea though for another time. I like the fire idea. I am not afraid of glitter!

Get them all to draw pictures on top of a message you have photocopyed (so in exact same position in all three) and cut them to make a jigsaw. Mix up equal numbers from each picture and have them give their dad a envelope with the jigsaw paper bits he has to make into his message?

We've just made the bonfire card and it looks mighty fine, though I say it myself! The kids gathered sticks from the garden and I glue gunned them onto black card, the kids made painty flames, tissue paper smoke and glitter sparks. My two year old did indeed get the lid off the glitter shaker and tip the entire thing over herself but that's par for the course really. I do feel like it's November now- wierd! A success though. Thanks for the other ideas too. I'll use them another time.
