Easter bonnets for boys

I love the idea for easter bonnets for boys on mumsnets. www.mumsnet.com/easter/easter-bonnet-ideas-for-boys
For past years, I have (badly) adapted base-ball caps and various hats with ribbons and little toys - the results of which have been largely hideous (for my pathetic attempts, see crewcutandnewt.com/2012/03/15/easter-bonnets-for-boys/)
I'd be interested to see what other mums have done, or are planning to do. Sadly, at my son's school, it can get quite competitive - which kind of distracts from the fun of getting the little ones involved themselves.

We made DS1 a large top hat shaped hat out of yellow card. It was amazing Grin.

Sounds great, makes me think of a sort of Easter Willy Wonka (or maybe it's just a Johnny Depp thing).

This year, I may customise a cowboy hat. Fabric paints (green) and then sew on some felt eggs and insects and things - lasy year I definitely overdid the flowers!
