I was thinking of going on Friday for the first time. I'm a cross-stitcher and there are some nice workshops advertised...
Am lonely desperate free for coffee in the mollie makes tearoom though

Feeling a little nervous though, Like I'm coming out of the closet as a stitcher but there's a whitework embroidery workshop I'd love to have a go at. Just a bit afraid I'm too much of a novice.

OK, I am going to be the blue meany, I really don't rate this show... if you have never been to Knitting and Stitching at Ally Pally then by all means go but if you are an Ally Pally veteran, don't bother, it just isn't a patch.

i've heard knitting and stitching is good, but as it's not until Oct, I'm going to do this one now

I usually go to it. It's changed over the years and now covers a whole range of crafts - lots of beading and papercraft. I've always enjoyed it (and inevitably spend far too much!) but have never done any of the workshops. I'm not sure if I'm going this year, though, as the friend I normally go with can't make it. Besides, I've got a whole box of cross-stitch kits I've bought at previous shows and not got round to stitching so I can't really justify buying any more.

I will be there on the Saturday afternoon, knitting :)

I wish I could knit, no-ones ever managed to teach me though as I'm really left handed...
still looking for a date for coffee, on friday
