Oooh I need to know this too! I've just opened one too - nothing in it yet!!! Maybe in a week or two!

Etsy or Folsky?

Etsy - there's a link to it on my blog but there's nothing in my shop yet!!! I really want to change my header so I am working on that! (as well as a bit more stock!)

What are you going to sell?

Take 100 photos of everything so you can pick the best. I often found myself with a photo that was just a tiny bit wonky or fuzzy in the corner and it bugged me.

Advertise it wherever you can - there are so many now that customers aren't that likely to find it by accident. You can do a page on your facebook profile linking to it, blog about it, that kind of thing. Casually slip it into conversations with rich looking people Grin.

Don't get too addicted. You may end up checking your shop every hour and therefore seeing something you like and buying it every hour...

I don't have time for mine at the moment, everything I make tends to be for my DDs. Can't wait til I get a bit more time to myself for fantastic creations! As for technical suggestions, it's been so long I can't really remember what I'm doing! But I seem to remember it was a lot easier to pay someone a couple of dollars to make a shop banner and get sale/ away/ closed banners with it.

Oh, and research S&H charges to as many places as possible. Most of my orders came from USA, Canada and Australia.
