Just because I've used the sewing machine my eldest D seems to think that i can make her a camera case. She's not even home yet and I dont know what to do in terms of looking for material,padding or what.
Till the DD and camera come home I can't do much?

Would a simple small draw string bag, with some wadding in between to offer some protection do it?

I'd probably go for a simple fold over envelope shape with a ribbon or popper fastening.

If she's old enough to have a camera she's old enough to Google a pattern and operate a sewing machine

I'm not letting her loose on my new sewing machine! No.

She can find the patterns/design what she wants but DD1 and my sewing machine are not a good mix. Believe me....

PP not sure if it's actually worth buying another machine. I just don't think she would ever use it (well,not yet) and would still badger. Think I'll get her to do all the dogsbody stuff and watch like a hawk. A bit like when they learn to cook,perhaps
