Simple sewing project

I have quite a lot of cotton fabric which I'd like to turn into something fabulous...or at least something quite nice Grin.

It has a fairly big pattern so I thought maybe a book bag would be a good but wounded if anyone has any better ideas?

My sewing skills are very basic only used a sewing machine once since I left school so the simpler the better! Grin

Cushion cover with big buttons would also be easy - although depends on whether the fabric would go with your chairs?

I was planning to make things to sell at a craft fair (if I can make them look good enough!). I did make an envelope style cushion cover last year which turned out quite well even if I do say so myself.

have a look on pinterest.com, some lovely ideas and patterns for sewing,
Also sew mama sew - scroll down for bags, kids stuff, quilts, napkins, placemats, headscarves - all sorts!

Also look on craftster which has all sorts with tutorials

Thanks.

I had a look on the pinterest app but I'm not liking it very much. I think I need to go to the main web page instead.

I'll have a look at the other sites too.

You are very welcome to use any of the tutes on my blog.... there are a couple of bags on there, big and little bunting and few other bits and pieces... just click on the link under the pic and it will take you through to the correct page.
