Simple sewing project

I have quite a lot of cotton fabric which I'd like to turn into something fabulous...or at least something quite nice .

It has a fairly big pattern so I thought maybe a book bag would be a good but wounded if anyone has any better ideas?

My sewing skills are very basic only used a sewing machine once since I left school so the simpler the better!

Cushion cover with big buttons would also be easy - although depends on whether the fabric would go with your chairs?

I was planning to make things to sell at a craft fair (if I can make them look good enough!). I did make an envelope style cushion cover last year which turned out quite well even if I do say so myself.
