Biodegradable floral oasis

Does anyone know where I can get biodegradable florist supplies? Google hasn't come up with anything. I will have a ring around local florists tomorrow but not sure if they'd have it? I only need one block of oasis-type stuff and a base.

Thank you

It would seem that it is just the bases which biodegrade, not the floral foam too. I think I will have to stick to trying to use raffia plaited to make a wreath shape and entwine the flowers...

It looks like indeed there is no biodegradable foam on the UK market unless we do not know where to get it from.
I have found this interesting link. May be it will bring you somewhere

Is it possible for a florist to use a biodegradable sponge, like this one nature sponge?

Sponges look similar to floral foam. I do not know whether they will have the same/similar properties though.

It needs to securely hold flowers on top of a casket... a friend has told me of a local florist who specialises in dried flowers so going to pop over and see what they have.

Thanks again :)
