have the white (cotton) t-shirt and poster paint.
should I prepare it (how?)?
will poster paint be fine or will it run?

I think it might possibly run? Or just be a bit difficult to apply neatly (or semi-neatly). And might it crack and end up a bit patchy when the T-shirt was put on and stretched once dry? Not sure though. I take it its only for a once wear/ non-washable costume?

I'd cut out a heart from felt or any old bit of red material/old bit of clothes you have around) and just sew it on (or even get some fabric glue and just stick it on).

But I don't know....poster paint might work? Someone else will probably know!

hmm, have some red kitchen cloths I could cut up and glue on. for one wear normal glue would do, right?

Use acrylic paint. Iron when dry to seal the paint. Washable too.
