What else do you do whilst you knit or sew or do craft?

I put DD to bed and have just spent a very chilled two hours (before DH returned home) hand sewing whilst listening to Radio 4. I also like knitting whilst watching TV (evenings) or whilst DD is playing (daytimes). For noisy machine sewing I always like blasting my music!

What about you?

I listen to audio books, sometimes I watch the TV but I struggle with my glasses which I need for the TV but not the knitting or sewing

breastfeed! Nothing like a bit of multitasking.

Also a radio 4 fan, or if I'm settling down for a bit I do like a good audio book. I'm just not good enough to watch stuff while I knit or sew, I get all in a muddle :)

trulymyrtle. I taught myself to crochet by watching you tube videos while breast feeding. It was great until DS2 started trying to grab the wool.

While knitting or crocheting I usually watch tv or roam about online - usually on pinterest or ravelry looking for my next project....

I always do some hand work after putting my son to sleep.I was doing knitting, and did some cross stitch and embroidery.I always looking for pattern or design. While doing this TV will be running for walls and sofa(My DH sees it I believe,he is always glued to laptop).

I prefer to listen to an audio book or the radio [4 or 6], the tv distracts me too much, unless it's something non-commital like snog, marry, avoid.

Trulymyrtle - what craft do you breastfeed to? I will be changing my craft of choice for a while to whatever yours is Wink.

trulymyrtle · 29/02/2012 16:34

molehill knitting - short needles, like circulars or socks! Lots of pillows (and I'm not a pillows breastfeeder normally.
My baby is a toddler now and it is easier when they are little/asleep or once they are out of the grab the wool phase.
Have also been known to sew and breastfeed (toddler only feeding!) Probably a health and safety hazzard!!! Grin

Ah, thanks! Am feeding now and when dd2 asleep and endlessly feeding I think I could just about knit. After all I'm doing this with two hands. Might mess up my tension! Smile
