We've just moved overseas for a year. House furnished, but bare walls. I'd love some cheap ideas to brighten up and decorate rooms, thanks. We do have photos we could do something with.

Do you have children? Children's art work, framed, can look lovely and they would be delighted and proud!

We have the long ones of these picture pockets on the walls up our stairway - easy to update & being on the stairs allows people to stare without feeling they're intruding.

Vertbaudet do some nice kids wall decals (stickers) or these people decowall do grown up ones too.

Thanks for that advice. So far our only wall art is our 2&3 yr olds art. Framing it is a good plan.

I once gave my DSs 4 smallish canvasses stuck together to make a bigger square. Then I let them spatter paint over them a la Jackson Pollock.

Do not under any circumstances let them do this inside the house.
